Podcast #45: Gavinstock 2019 and “Love, Noel”

How it’s New York: The Catskills are in New York, of course, and Irish Repertory Theatre is one of New York’s best Off-Broadway theatres.
How it’s Irish: Gavin’s Irish Country Inn is Irish all year-round. Gavinstock is all Irish bands, and (who knew!) Noel Coward was half Irish.

We talk to Charlotte Moore, one of the founders of Irish Repertory Theatre, and the director of “Love, Noel,” about the show which closes Sunday, Aug. 25.

Next up, we speak with Bernadette Gavin-Palmieri, innkeeper of Gavin’s Irish Country Inn, about the music festival Gavinstock, which runs through Aug. 18, and to Seamus Keane of The Narrowbacks, who are performing there.

Featured tune: “Streets of Woodlawn,” by The Narrowbacks.
