Wee Craic tonight!

How It’s New York:  The Craic Festival, run by Terence Mulligan, is a New York Film Festival in March; the “Wee Craic” is a one-night mini Festival– this is its 12th year!  Tonight at Tribeca Cinema & Lounge at 54 Varick Street!  Doors open at 6:30; party at 7!
How It’s Irish:  The films are Irish or Irish-American, the music is too.  Open bar!  Tullamore Dew Whiskey and Stella Artois are sponsors! Tickets are only $20 and can be purchased at Ticketweb.

It’s a lovely night for it, after days of rain!
Music is a special performance by Mark Geary in a solo performance in the screening room before the films start.  Expect to hear hits from his albums ‘Opium’, ‘Ghosts’ and ’33 1/3 Grand Street’, and new tracks from his hotly anticipated upcoming album.  Geary begins a European tour this month!
Right after Geary’s performance will be a screening selected from the hits, audiences favorites, and winners at festivals such as the Galway Film Fleadh, Tribeca Film Festival and Sundance. Films included must be Irish in theme, have been shot in Ireland, feature Irish talent either behind or in front of the camera, or have been made here in NYC by local Irish filmmakers, such as the Oscar short-listed Shoe, and Cork Film Festival’s winner of the Best Irish Short Film award, Pentecost.
