Napoli vs Genoa Live Stream: Genoa’s Serie A match at Napoli has been delayed for a few hours after goalkeeper Mattia Perin tested positive for the coronavirus. The match on Sunday was scheduled to kick off at 3 p.m. local time (1300 GMT) but will start three hours later. Genoa announced Perin’s test result on Saturday. The players and staff underwent further tests and the results will be known later.

It was another busy night for WPIAL Girls soccer across all classifications with a lot of key section matches played on Wednesday!

Pittsburgh Soccer Now girls high school soccer contributor Ed Rosensteel was there for the Class 2A, Section 2 showdown between Burrell and Deer Lakes.

Here’s Ed’s recap of Burrell’s 4-2 win:In addition to the scoreboard, on Wednesday afternoon, the PIAA set dates for Fall sports playoffs, including boys and girls soccer. In boys and girls soccer, the dates stay the same, but the brackets were changed with only district champions moving on to the PIAA playoffs.

WPIAL soccer regular season will end with final games which must be played by October 20. The WPIAL has not announced any additional information about its playoff set up. WPIAL Championships were originally scheduled for the first full weekend in November, but that remains up in the air. The PIAA soccer finals will be played on November 20-21.Key returnees: Sr. Ty Stanchina, Sr. Cayden Bertrand, Sr. Jayden Guerra, Sr. Landon Wonderly, Jr. Sam Blumberger, Jr. Aidan McCloughin, Jr. Ryan Claffey.

Outlook: Coming off an infrequent down year, Bacon will lean on its experienced players who are ready to make their mark. Blumberger, McCloughlin and Claffey, a goalie, are all three-year varsity players while Stanchina earned All-ECC first team honors last season.

East Lyme

Coach: Paul Christensen (33rd season)

Fitch

Coach: Jay Wolfradt (11th season)

Outlook: Losing graduated senior Giovanni Valentine on the back line is a significant loss for the Falcons. However, Zavala, McLean and Roche are determined and blessed with a high soccer I.Q. Lynch, an all-state midfielder, will be counted on to run the show. Fitch has speed up top and out wide. Duffy, Martinez and Forde will be key players, according to Wolfradt.

Ledyard

Coach: William Glenney (18th season)

Outlook: The Colonels are coming off a magical season during which they advanced to the Class M semifinals. McLeod, a returning starter, will anchor Ledyard with his skill and leadership while Burton and Reynolds form the center of the defense. Glenney expects his team will score “a ton of goals this year,” relying on all-state midfielder Washington (23 goals, 10 assists) and lethal striker Pollard (15 goals, 20 assists). “The offense will take care of itself; my job is to figure out the back line,” Glenney said. The Colonels will break in their new turf field.
