After an eight-year sabbatical following his best selling album,’O‘, Damien Rice is back with a new release, ‘My Favourite Faded Fantasy‘. This time he is accompanied on some tracks by Marketa Irglova (Once) and has parted ways with earlier collaborator, Lisa Hannigan.
It is another masterpiece from this reportedly shy, singer songwriter and continues his style of introspective lyrics countered by sweeping, dramatic musical arrangements. A beautiful listen – check it out. He plays the Beacon Theater on April 4th, next year.
