Blackthorne’s Irish Festival, Labor Day Weekend!

How It’s New York:  Blackthorne Resort became the unofficial Festival Club of Catskills Irish Arts Week this year, with Yvonne Furlong (formerly of Furlong’s, now closed) hosting the all-night tents of music and craic out back.  And of course, they don’t have Labor Day in Ireland!  heading upstate for the last weekend of summer is a long-standing American tradition.
How It’s Irish:  It’s three days of Irish music and fun, in the Emerald Isle of the Catskills, East Durham!  (click here for my writeup of Catskills Irish Arts Week this year!).  Entertainers include Andy Cooney, Larry Kirwan and Black 47, and the Dublin City Ramblers, among many more!

Family attractions include haunted house, hay rides; there will be Corned Beef and Cabbage!  Sounds like a fab way to soak in what looks to be a gorgeous weekend!
