How Its New York: New York is one of 5 U.S. cities on the Cork Literary review’s first U.S. tour, and this year’s review is the first to include writers on both sides of the Atlantic.
How its Irish: Cork Literary Review was established in Cork in 1985, and has featured some of Ireland’s top writers, including Seamus Heaney, Paul Durcan, Thomas McCarthy and Frank McGuinness.
On Thursday, November 17th, at 7:30pm, Cork Literary Review will launch Volume XIV at the Irish Arts Center (553 West 51st Street), as part of the five city tour of the poetry anthology in the U.S.
Director of Poetry Ireland Joseph Woods and Review Editor Eugene O’Connell will be reading highlights from the Irish contributors, while poet Eleanor Wilner, author The Girl with Bees in Her Hair representing the inaugural American Section (edited by Brian Turner),will read samples of her award-winning work, and NYU Professor Greg Londe.
Event is Thursday, November 17 at 7:30pm. A reception will follow the readings, and the Review will be available for purchase.
