It was a great day for a parade– after randomly cold days suddenly the sun came out and it was so warm I took my coat off! Many many pipe bands, some from the great state of New Jersey. George Grant did the announcing on top of a double decker bus up by 51st street. Although one of my favorite moments was after the parade had finished and they put on recorded music– the music they played was Liz Carroll and John Doyle. You can’t get away from those Irish! It was a treat to see the Saltire flags up and down Sixth Avenue! The week is over now– gone and forgotten except for the plastic bracelet from the Ceilidh that I still can’t get off my wrist.
