An Evening of Sacred Music, Carnegie Hall, New York.

On Friday 10th April the Palestrina Choir will perform in the Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall. The Choir, consisting of 28 boy choristers and 12 gentlemen, will sing a programme of much-loved and popular sacred music. Repertoire will include works by Palestrina, Victoria, Hassler and Monteverdi, as well as Irish pieces and arrangements by Stanford, Armstrong and Mooney.
This Concert will feature the boys and gentlemen, as well as Irish traditional instruments and melodies.
Presented by Mary Kennedy, a well-known broadcaster on Irish television, and directed by Blanaid Murphy, one of Ireland’s leading choral conductors, this is an evening for all lovers of choral music, especially those who hold Ireland dear to their hearts!
