Deirdre Kinahan is one of Ireland’s most celebrated playwrights; her recent plays These Halcyon Days, BOGBOY (both seen at IAC), Moment and Hue and Cry have won all awards in Edinburgh and New York. Spinning was a sell-out hit at Dublin Theatre Festival last year and opens in Chicago Spring 2016. Deirdre is described as an exceptional storyteller, shining a light on the dark corners of contemporary Ireland by creating extraordinarily truthful characters that live long in memory. Deirdre’s latest Drama Wild Sky was written in commemoration of the Irish Rebellion of 1916 and will premiere in 2016.
