County Clare fiddler Martin Hayes and Chicago guitarist Dennis Cahill are two of the world’s leading innovators in traditional Irish music, together for over two decades. The duo digs deep into the melodies of the Irish canon, guided by the inherent and irresistible rhythms of the music. Martin and Dennis have performed at the White House, Lincoln Center, Royal Albert Hall, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and for the EU in Brussels. Their new group The Gloaming just won Ireland’s Meteor Prize for Album of the Year, and the CD landed on many 2014 best-of lists including NPR and The Guardian.
