WHAT: Seattle Seahawks at Atlanta Falcons Week 1
WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 13 at 10:00 a.m. PT
WHERE: Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta
Seattle has beaten the Falcons in the club’s last three out of four regular-season matchups, including a 27-20 win last October in Atlanta. But with no real offseason or preseason games to shake off the rust, Week 1 can be a bit intimidating. Coach Pete Carroll is planning to make the best of it.
“We have all of last year, we’ve seen Matt Ryan for a long time,” Carroll said Wednesday. “We know Todd Gurley, we know about Julio (Jones), we know the guys. It’s wait-and-see, and they’ve got to wait and see on us, too. We have to be ready to adapt and have to have really good communication to get that done, and hopefully, we’ll be able to stay ahead of it.”
TV: Fox Channel 13 in the Seattle area. Adam Amin (play-by-play), Mark Schlereth (analyst) and Lindsay Czarniak (sidelines) have the call of the game.
RADIO: 710 ESPN Seattle and 97.3 KIRO FM locally and Sports USA for the national broadcast.
