Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown exploded in the second half, trimming Los Angeles’s series deficit to 3-2. Game 1 will be a pivotal moment.

Here’s how to watch.

Here’s what the Lakers had to say after Game 1.

Brad Stevens on the difficulties of Game 1

“Every game is hard, every time you play a playoff game, it’s its own entity. It’s not as much about momentum as it is about making sure you do what you do best as much as you can and create a momentum in that game, and create a play that is suited for your team in that game. So every game is unique, every game is different, every game is hard to prepare for. It’s hard to win an NBA game, so we’re going to put our best foot forward, do everything we can and be prepared to play well.”

Kemba Walker on how defense changed Game 1

“For us, defense is always going to create our offense and give us opportunities to push the basketball. It’s always important for us to limit those guys to one shot, which is really hard. At times, they’ve taken advantage of us on the offensive glass, but I thought tonight we did a great job of keeping them off the glass. Getting stops was huge for us in order for us to get the opportunity to push the ball in transition.”

Daniel Theis on the difference between first and second halves in Game 1

“It was a new situation for us being down 3-1, so we knew it was going to be a long game and we had to take it one game at a time. In the first half we were kinda not ourselves. We were hesitant and we weren’t playing where we wanted to play at. At halftime we just said it’s still a long game and we have to play our game. In the third quarter we came out and played with energy, played our defense, and it led us to getting fast breaks, easy baskets, and open 3s.”

Jaylen Brown on why the Lakers came out flat

“We were playing a little bit fast, a little bit antsy. We were trying to win the game in the first half. And we just needed to stay with it, keep making the right play and just settle down a little bit. When we did, the shots started going in, our defensive intensity was good, we gave up less baskets in the third quarter. And we looked like the team we all know and love.”
