Brian McCarthy
(PERCUSSION)
Bronx born and influenced by a multitude of musical styles,
Brian infuses African, Latin and other world beats into the music.
Playing with unmatched enthusiasm and reckless abandon,
Brian is the driving force behind the group.
Andrew McCarrick
(FLUTE, TIN WHISTLE)
Also a Bronx native, Andrew has been surrounded by
traditional Irish music all of his life. Influenced by musical
legends Matt Molloy, Michael McGoldrick, Kevin Crawford,
Seamus Egan and The Bothy Band, Andrew is now
focussed on composing his own tunes.
Andrew a member of the 2011 World Champion & 2012
North American Champion NY Metro Pipes & Drums Band.
John “Tex” Walsh
(GUITAR, VOCALS)
Bronx born, John spent his childhood in Kilkenny, where
he learned the guitar. Regarded by many as one of the
best Celtic guitar players in America he frequently
accompanies the legendary uileann piper from
the Bothy Band, Paddy Keenan.
Denis McCarthy
(FIDDLE, TIN WHISTLE)
Another Bronx native, Denny was a student of
Limerick fiddler Martin Mulvihill. Denny learned
the importance of always maintaining a healthy
respect for the “tradition” of Irish music while never being
afraid to put his own stamp on the tunes.
Denis has won numerous All-Ireland fiddles titles.
