GET THE BOAT a new play by Eavan Brennan at SoHo Playhouse

Two strangers that meet on a journey many Irish women still keep as their biggest secret. Get The Boat his poignant, gruff, funny piece about sudden friendship, life shattering decisions and the secrets that we share. Get The Boat is produced by Holy Show Theatre Company.

EAVAN BRENNAN (playwright) grew up in East Clare and was a member of Limerick Youth Theatre. Becoming a founder member of Holy Show Theatre company in 2004 she toured to Edinburgh Fringe festival with their inaugural show After Andersen by Fionn Dempsey which also toured in Ireland including Andrews Lane Theatre. A short stint in Ireland including Hysteria by Terry Johnson for b*spoke theatre company, The Stuff of Myth by Roger Gregg for Crazy Dog Audio Theatre and several productions with Lambert Puppet Theatre she joined Footsbarn Travelling Theatre and moved to France touring with them until 2011 with their productions of A Midsummer Nights Dream by William Shakespeare, L’Homme Qui Rit by Victor Hugo and Sorry! by Pierre Byland as well as various parades and cabaret performances including A Shakespeare Party and Christmas Cracker for Shakespeare’s Globe in London. TV and Film include Ros na Rún, Adharca Fada and The Clinic.
