An event every week that begins at 7:30 pm on [day], repeating until October 20, 2014
Join The Shakespeare Theatre for a one-night-only musical event– Broadway standards and traditional Irish tunes (and perhaps even a few pop songs!)– presented by Ciarán Sheehan and Gwen Eagleton. These Broadway veterans and New Jersey residents will take the stage to benefit the Theatre’s young artist education and training programs.
A Dublin native, Sheehan began his career as a classical actor and admits to never considering musical theatre until working with famed producer Hal Prince, who suggested he audition for The Phantom of the Opera. Shortly after, Sheehan was cast as Raoul in the smash hit’s third national tour. He went on play The Phantom for two years, both on Broadway and in Toronto, where he replaced Colm Wilkinson.
Eagleton is also a classically trained actor and veteran of The Phantom of the Opera, both on Broadway and on national tour. As a soloist, she has performed across the country and in New York City at The Metropolitan Room and 54 Below. Today, Eagleton continues to perform as well as direct and teach.
Tickets: $20, $35, $60 (includes post-show reception with the artists).
