July 1863 – The NYC Draft Riots – Stephen Foster is writing his last song. Larry Kirwan re-imagines Foster’s music and how Tap and Popular Music emerged from the clash of Irish immigrants with African-Americans in Manhattan’s Five Points – the most notorious slum in the world.
