“One of the few artists who can do no wrong whatsoever.” – BBC Radio 2
“A timely reminder of what sets a musician apart: A hunger for exploration and a deep-seated talent for exploring the darker corners of both music and life.”
– The Irish Times
Eleanor McEvoy returns to perform songs from her newest album Stuff, telling tales of unrequited love, lust, and eloquent farewells, with a heady brew of candid observation laced with witty, wry self-deprecation.
First seen at IAC as part of SongLives in fall 2013, curated by Susan McKeown, McEvoy is one of Ireland’s most accomplished artists whose rich voice charms and uplifts with intimacy and emotion, passion and humor. She composed the song “Only A Woman’s Heart,” title track of the hit album A Woman’s Heart, which remains the best-selling album in Irish history.
