The Cape Breton Scots concert features Troy MacGillivray a leading Cape Breton style fiddle player, with 11 CD’s to his credit and a long performing history around the world. Also performing young NE Fiddle Champion Katie McNally and pianist Neil Pearlman whose debut album ‘Flourish’ demonstrates the vitality of the new world Scottish folk scene plus piper and fiddler duo Ben Miller and Anita McDonald look to the traditions of the Scottish Hebrides and Cape Breton Island on their new CD “On Home Ground”. The musicians of the thriving Scottish session scene centered around Iona Bar in Brooklyn will round out the bill for a great night of traditional music.
