Journalist Carl Bernstein on Sunday called on Republicans in the Senate to remain silent as President Donald Trump tried to demolish the election results and stay in office on accusations of lying.
And he calls names.
Bernstein pointed to twenty-two law-makers who said they were “showing strong opposition to Trump and his fitness to be POTUS” behind the scenes.
In a Twitter post, a journalist who helped uncover the Watergate scandal said it did not break any promises of secrecy – because senators expressed Trump’s contempt for others, including White House staff, security guards and supporters.

Republicans have been reluctant to openly criticize Mr. Trump, and they have been in all his leadership.
However, a number of senators, as they are called, have openly urged Trump to move forward, including Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) said Sunday that this was “the first time a comprehensive and systematic plan for change” of President-elect Joe Biden.
On Saturday, Sen went. Pat Toomey (R-Penn.) Did the same, telling Mr. Trump that he had now “resolved all legal issues” and that it was time to agree.
