ArtsWestchester will host its annual Irish House Party in celebration of traditional Irish performing arts and culture from 7-9 PM, on Saturday, February 11th at the Arts Exchange, 31 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY 10601. Admission, which includes light refreshments, is $20 for adults; children under 10 free. For reservations or more information, please call (.
The Irish House Party is a celebration of traditional Irish arts and culture, as they were shared in Ireland and the North of Ireland and continue to be shared among the descendants of the Irish Diaspora in America. Significantly, it is also an occasion for families, friends and neighbors of diverse backgrounds to join together for a magical evening of story, song and dance.
By popular demand, fiddler Brian Conway will perform with special guests, Mary Courtney and Brendan Dolan, traditional tunes and songs from Irish culture. The performance will also include a brief student concert as an opening act along with a traditional Ceili (kay-lee) dance, which the audience is encouraged to partake in.
