Brendan O’Shea has released three albums which have garnered praise from critics and press around the world. His work has appeared on ABC, MTV, within the wildly successful Karen Gehres documentary Begging Naked and Ron Howard’s Academy Award nominated film Backdraft. Additionally, he’s shared the stage with the likes of The Frames, The Swell Season, Glen Hansard, Loudon Wainwright, Interpol as well as other innovative contemporaries. “Great songs… some reminiscent of a Paul Simon feel and some of an Elliott Smith conviction” (Sounds Magazine). In 2007, Brendan O’Shea became a founding member of Fairplay Collective, a unique endeavor in which songwriters came together to support and promote each other’s individual projects as independent artists. In 2008, he became a co-host of The Scratcher Sessions at NYC’s Sin-e, a Sunday night concert series which features musicians from around the world.
