Gearóid Ó hAllmhuráin, a professor of Irish Studies at Concordia University in Montréal, is also a renowned master of the “Anglo” concertina. The push and pull of the concertina’s bellows provided the rhythmic pulse for set dancers in the kitchens of County Clare, a sound that Professor Ó hAllmhuráin will reproduce in the cozy confines of Glucksman Ireland House. He will be joined by New Jersey fiddler Willie Kelly, a master of the old-time musical style of the East Galway/East Clare region.
