How it’s New York: Based in New York City
How it’s Irish: Festival of Irish Films
Well, it’s a still a very different year for the regular celebrations of the St. Patrick’s Day season. As we still face the challenges presented by the COVID pandemic, The CraicFest has a fantastic diversion planned with their first Virtual FilmFest, which kicks off tomorrow.
Running from March 4th to March 7th, 2021 it’s a great bargain at 23 films for $23.00 which gives you online access to a diverse roster of films. Included in the bunch are the eagerly awaited 2nd film from New York writer and filmmaker Colin Broderick “A Bend in the River” featuring Irish acting sensations John Duddy and John Connors. John Connors also has his Directorial debut with the documentary “Endless Sunshine on a Cloudy Day” and the acclaimed Irish language film “Arracht”.
Having been to this FilmFest in person for many years I know you will be in for a treat with many of the offerings on hand. The lineup also includes a roster of short subjects, animation and their very popular Kids Flim-Fleadh, featuring the best of Ireland’s brilliant offerings for children.
